# Change user password from old forum

The old [forum](https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/login/) is still there, where you can now only read.

Is there any way to still change your user password there?

I’d like to do this for **security reasons**.

The “Forgot password” option doesn’t seem to work anymore, because I’m not receiving any email.

Hey man

yes indeed, all db-writing functions are disabled.

I _can_ change your password, but then I’ll know it myself. Then again, since I have direct access to the db anyhow I don’t know if that’s an issue…

Hi, well, I wouldn’t have a problem with that.

I just want to move away from the current simple password. I only use randomly generated passwords anyway.

How do I go about this, can I send you the password privately somehow?
