here’s the first user post of the new CPCWiki Forum. A huge thanks to Gryzor for the massive amount of work required to bring us back from such a major mishap, and thanks also to everyone who patiently waited for the Forum to return. Your input and involvement is what made the previous forum such a great resource for all things CPC and will be the reason why the CPCWiki / Forum lives on.

Great to see everything coming back. I was shocked when I heard the news. This site has been around for so many years it just felt like it would never go away. Since it’s been gone I’ve realised just how much I’ve missed it.
Well done everyone for getting it all back up and running. Gryzor, you must have really had your work cut out I can’t tell you how good it feels to see everything coming back to life!

Got to say it makes it all worth it reading comments from people like you saying what the project means etc. Thanks
And, yeah,it was an extremely bad turn of events. Luckily @Highlander mad it all possible at the infrastructure level
If nothing else, at least, it forced us to upgrade/update things.

That’s a great outcome and a really positive spin on the situation - though I’m guessing you’d have rather have done it without all the additional pressure!
When everything just works, the desire to upgrade is virtually zero as we all know how much work it involves.
Yeah believe me, all of that is true. If you had seen the relevant threads in the old forum, I had started looking around for a forum replacement, but there was no perfect solution. In the end it was forced on us - it just had to happen at the worst possible moment, at the beginning of the summer, with schools off and vacation days…
