# M4TERM VT100 Terminal / CPCFAX Viewdata and CONNSTAR Comms Package for CPC/M4

Hello All,

Let me present M4Term - A functional VT100 telnet terminal for the CPC with M4. I don’t think a VT100 Terminal existed for the CPC back in the day.

Also CONNSTAR which is a strangely familiar comms software package of a Terminal(M4TERM) and Viewdata Client (CPCFAX). I toured the UK retro museums this summer and thought that old school comms software was missing. So I’ve put these together as a DSK file for a CPC With M4 for ease of use.

M4Term is based on the work I did on M4Ewen which was based on Ewenterm and Dukes M4 Telnet code. Codex was involved. I was able to optimise to a crazy degree!

Video of M4Term included connecting to a few services including a PiDP11 with vi usage.
