Classic Computing 2026 in Celle

More than 90 exhibitors from Germany and abroad will transform the CD Kaserne into a vibrant, hands-on computer museum: from the C64 in a kid’s bedroom and Atari computers to the rare BeBox running BeOS, a working PDP-8/F “straight out of a sci-fi movie,” and historical DEC and IBM networks.

Prominent guests such as Markus Hess (known from the “KGB Hack”), Amiga contemporary witness Petro Tyschtschenko, and Olaf Zimmermann from the German Cultural Council will share fascinating stories about hacking, computer culture, and tech history.

Historical flight simulators running on original hardware, numerous classic games on retro consoles and home computers, and plenty of unusual systems invite visitors to try things out, marvel, and discover.

Currently, there are also at least 4 exhibitors dedicated to the CPC — including demonstrations of SymbOS and a BASIC demo.
