ive tried dropping v1.04 into CPCSyntaxError… but its throwing a lot of errors for some examples now (works fine with v1.03a)… so i have to upgrade the emulator to support the new version..which sort of sucks, i was hoping i could just extract new version and point emu to it, but seems there a bit more too it than that
Yes i thought it worked but not well tested (swap hs and it became transparent for me it worked, i havent read back data). It works for only for “compressed” ram hsprite. It worked very well on paper. I will see that tonight ![]()
Well it doesn’t work with sprite asic, but it works only in ram sprite (my bad). What i will do, it’s a fonction to copy from low nibble or high nibble to sprite hard.
Something wrong with setup of 1.04 ?
something with my emu and how it compiles cpctelera on first run.. ill look into fixing it on friday…
(standard cpctelera and cpctelera_next v1.03a work)
Yeah, it’s not clear in the Arnold V documentation and people so often refer to it as ASIC RAM that the fact it doesn’t really behave like RAM gets overlooked. There are a few emulators, at least, that get this wrong so it can even appear to work if you test it there.
The same operation in RAM can definitely be useful sometimes (as can a similar op for copying out of ROM).
