Trying the dsk access with my game - Roland goes Demining

, ,

Ok,

Maybe I shouldn’t do it, but I want to try

I took my game Roland goes Demining from old forum and put the dsk here to check the new ‘run in place’ allowed by the new forum.

… and? :slightly_smiling_face:

Almost OK: QAOP keys was off because I got a french keyboard, I didn’t tried to correct this as I finished using arrows (it emulates joystick).
Also sound seems a bit off.

But nonetheless a great feature to the forum!

Perhaps I could add the French ROMs for AZERTY.

The sound being off is clearly an emulation issue, if true -but again, if you can confirm with the standard Caprice emulator it works be great.

This is a great feature, but the emulator seems to think I have a US keyboard, so typing RUN"RGD to start the game was a bit awkward.

Is it possible to configure the emulator to automatically type the correct RUN command?

I agree. Or a way to easily modify keyboard layout.

Another point is that CTRL+Left Right Arrows works (going to start or end), but CTRL+EnterKey not (write RUN"+Enter). It could have been a good bypass…

If you haven’t seen the other thread - fighting Caprice32’s implementation is a losing game for my skills and time. I’m considering switching to RVMplayer.

I see that RVM has taken the lead

Seems much better from my point of view: Sound and controls are OK now.

Even BASIC copy/paste (use AltGr) and easy run"+ENTER

I just love it - place the disk and click run. That is absolutely convenient to just quickly check on it.
