" … A Game Development Kit for Amstrad CPC+ and GX4000
I just posted a short intro video of R‑GX GDK, my Game Development Kit built for the CPC+ and GX4000.
This first video gives a fast overview of the kit, the idea behind it, and what I’m building.
The goal is simple: a modern and reusable framework for CPC+ game development, using the hardware features of the machine, and flexible enough to create different types of games.
This is only the intro.
More detailed videos are coming soon … "
This is huge. Really impressive work.
R-GX GDK could open the door to a lot of new GX4000 projects and adaptations.
The Rayman demo already looks and sounds fantastic. Definitely one to follow very closely.
I had to part ways with Tiled due to licensing issues.
As a result, I now have a built-in tile editor.
Added ACE-DL (around 1:10); it’s in the testing phase, so not all options are integrated yet.
There will also be two modes for ACE-DL: embedded and standalone.
In short:
New UI.
ACE-DL integration.

Collectable Tings
Sound effects
Collision tests against the NPCs
A few bugs still on the list
Now the honest part. The backgrounds are a straight transfer from the DOS version. They work, but they were never drawn for this machine, so they will need retouching here and there. The sound effects come from DOS too, converted to something the console can play.
It is still rough, and that is the point of showing it this early. There are glitches I already know about, and a few I am sure I have not found yet … " Hakim Gargoubi
