Happy Sunday, everyone!
I’ve been promising this forever, but after more than 10 years, my Starquake remake is finally here!
This is a complete rewrite of the original, which was one of the first games that I got with my CPC way back in 1986 and remains one of my all time favourites. The remake features painstakingly redrawn HD graphics, a brand-new orchestral soundtrack, tonnes of shader effects and plenty of other surprises.
It even comes with its own screen editor, so you can create your own version of the game!
Other features include:
-
Silky-smooth 60Hz gameplay, with an optional 50Hz mode to match the original speed.
-
Scanlines and CRT simulation.
-
The ability to switch between enhanced and original graphics.
It’s available for macOS, Linux and Windows, powered by MonoGame and OpenGL, with a custom-built game engine.
Go grab it here: Starquake — the 1985 classic, rebuilt
