Honestly the easiest and fastest way is to store a second set of sprites that are shifted one pixel over, and use the lowest bit to decide which set of sprites to draw.
With the ladders etc. it’s starting to look a bit like Bitmap Bros’ Gods.
These screens look gorgeous.
Bit of a mare trying to get everything flicker-free, so I ditched the SMB acceleration/inertia attempt. Ladders are now in too.
Indeed, I wonder where it was taken from? ![]()
is that where it came from? As I recall, I got it from somewhere else on a CC image search. I really need to check if its usable in a GPL project. Most CC stuff is?
edit: argh, will have to remove it and use something else as although a page on that site says its free for personal use, at the bottom there’s a thing about not using it in games. Arse:
Darn, this guy runs fast!
Who made this guy a cop
It was a citizens arrest ![]()
To say something nice and not just nag, the graphics look really great! Especially that bg sunset-like gradient adds some atmosphere rarely seen in a CPC game. Keep us posted.
Nag away. Feedback is the food of champions and all that sort of stuff.
